Molly Taylor and Kevin Hansen from Jameel Motorsport have won the first Extreme H World Cup. The driver duo relegated the Carl Cox Motorsport team with Klara Andersson and Timo Scheider to second place in the first FIA event with hydrogen-powered racing cars in history. Hedda Hosas and Ole Christian Veiby from Team EVEN came third.
The Extreme H World Cup was held in three parts: On Thursday there was a time trial, in which each driver of a team completed one lap of the circuit in the morning and one in the afternoon, including driver changes. The times of the two sessions were added together and pool points were awarded based on this overall result. On the second day, the head-to-head round, the drivers of the eight cars raced against each other in a format inspired by Formula E qualifying in the preliminary round, semi-final and final, where pool points were also awarded. However, unlike the other sessions, no circuit was used here; instead, the drivers drove a different parallel course.
On Saturday, there was multi-car racing on the circuit: Firstly, there were two qualifying heats in two groups of four, where pool points were again awarded. These determined the starting grid for the World Cup Finale, in which all eight Extreme H cars competed against each other in the afternoon. The race winners were then able to call themselves Extreme H World Cup winners.
Qualifying 1
A qualifying round consisted of two races with four cars each. Each driver in a team had to drive two laps of the approximately three-kilometre circuit, with a mandatory driver change in the switch zone after the second lap. All eight teams nominated the male driver for the start.
Heat 1
Team EVEN, KMS, Team STARD and Jameel Motorsport faced each other in the first heat. Kristoffersson initially took the lead, but was then overtaken by Hansen. Kristoffersson suffered a puncture on the right front tyre and the team changed the defective tyre during the driver change. As a result, KMS lost a lot of time and subsequently trailed the field by a considerable margin. Jameel Motorsport won the race, followed by Team Hansen, Team STARD and KMS.

A time penalty of 10 seconds initially imposed on Jameel Motorsport for driving round a flag was cancelled because Kevin Hansen had previously been hit by Johan Kristoffersson. Due to the collision, it was not possible for Hansen to avoid the flag. There was another time penalty for Team STARD, as Patrick O'Donovan had also flown a flag.
Heat 2
In the second heat, the remaining four teams raced against each other. Zeroid Motorsport with Gray Leadbetter and Fraser McConnell crossed the finish line first, followed by JBX and Team Hansen. However, a five-second time penalty for touching an obstacle on the track relegated JBX to third place. Carl Cox Motorsport was only fourth after Scheider suffered suspension damage on the first lap following contact with Team Hansen's Bakkerud and parked the car at the end of the lap.
Qualifying 2
Heat 1
The first heat of the second round was contested by Carl Cox Motorsport, Jameel Motorsport, Team STARD and Team Hansen. Once again, the male drivers drove the first two laps before handing over the wheel to the female drivers.
Team Hansen won the first race by nine seconds ahead of Carl Cox Motorsport. The race stewards subsequently imposed a time penalty of three seconds on Carl Cox Motorsport, as Scheider had driven too fast into the switch zone. Nevertheless, the team retained second place, 0.674 seconds ahead of Jameel Motorsport. For Team STARD, winners in the head-to-head round on Friday, only 4th place remained, around two seconds behind Jameel Motorsport.
Heat 2
In the second heat, Kristoffersson from KMS took the lead at the start ahead of Hallman (JBX), Veiby (Team EVEN) and McConnell (Zeroid). The KMS driver and the JBX driver quickly pulled away - Team EVEN in third place was already more than eight seconds behind after the first lap, but lost this position shortly afterwards to McConnell in the Zeroid car due to a puncture on the right front tyre. Kristoffersson drove into the switch zone with a two-second lead, McConnell was already 14 seconds behind and Veiby, who had lost a lot of ground on the second lap, a full 28 seconds behind. Due to the necessary tyre change, Team EVEN lost a lot of time during the driver changeover and Hosas left the switch zone almost a whole lap behind.
Ahlin-Kottulinsky extended the lead further, but trouble was looming: the race stewards were investigating an incident in which the KMS team had allegedly flown a flag. Luckily for them, an investigation was also launched against JBX shortly afterwards because GZ had also flown a flag - both teams received a ten-second time penalty. KMS won by 9.971 seconds ahead of JBX and 22.017 seconds ahead of Zeroid, meaning that the order remained unchanged despite the penalties. Team EVEN finished in 4th place, almost 1:45 minutes behind.
The two additional pool points for the combined best time in the super sector were awarded to KMS in the second qualifying round.
Final
The World Cup final took place on Saturday at 16:32 local time. Pole position was secured by Jameel Motorsport, who collected 37 out of a maximum possible 50 pool points over the three days, ahead of Team Hansen with 35 points. KMS scored 30 - third place on the grid - followed by Zeroid Motorsport with 28 pool points, JBX with 27, Carl Cox Motorsport with 25 and Team EVEN and Team STARD on equal points with 23 pool points.

Once again, only the male drivers started the race. Jameel Motorsport took the lead directly from pole position, with Carl Cox Motorsport and Team Hansen clashing behind them - Bakkerud in the Hansen car subsequently went off the track and dropped to the back of the field.

O'Donovan in the Team STARD car attacked Kristoffersson in the KMS car and ran over a flag, prompting the race stewards to launch an investigation and issue a ten-second time penalty shortly afterwards.

On the second lap, McConnell rolled over in the Zeroid car. He was uninjured, but the race was over for the team. Jameel Motorsport drove to the driver changeover in the lead. In the second half of the race, the female drivers took the wheel. The order initially remained unchanged until Ahlin-Kottulinsky left the track after a driving error in the battle for second place and lost several positions.

GZ in the JBX car stopped on the track. She managed to restart the car after around two minutes and drove behind the field. KMS received a five-second time penalty for driving round a track obstacle, which dropped them from fourth to sixth place.
At the front, however, Taylor drove to an unchallenged victory and won the final for Jameel Motorsport ahead of Carl Cox Motorsport and Team EVEN, with Team STARD, Team Hansen, KMS and JBX taking the remaining places. Zeroid Motorsport was classified in last place after the rollover.
