Antonio Felix da Costa became Northern European Formula Renault champion in 2009 and then moved to GP3 for three years, where he finished the 2012 season in third place overall. The protégé of touring car ace Tiago Monteiro also tested several times for Red Bull in Formula 1 before moving to the DTM as a BMW works driver in 2014.

The Portuguese initially contested Formula E in parallel with his DTM commitment. After two years with Japanese racing team Aguri, during which he sensationally won the Buenos Aires E-Prix in 2015, he switched to Andretti. Even after BMW joined the team for the 2018/19 season, Felix da Costa remained with the team and immediately won the first race in Saudi Arabia for the new manufacturer from Munich. From the 2019/20 Formula E season, he drove for DS Techeetah, where he won the Formula E championship title in his first year. After two less successful seasons, he moved to the Porsche factory team at the end of 2022, where he was Pascal Wehrlein's teammate from 2023 onwards. After three seasons, he left the team and moved to Jaguar TCS Racing.

Parallel to Formula E, Felix da Costa competed for Jota Sport in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) until 2023. At the highlight of the season, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he won the LMP2 category in 2022. After a brief absence, he returned to the WEC with Alpine for the 2026 season.
