Timmy Hansen is the son of rallycross legend Kenneth Hansen. The Lidköping-born racer dabbled in Formula BMW and Formula Renault 2.0 in his early career years with sporadic success before switching to rallycross in 2011. He now races in the World Rallycross Championship, where he won the title in 2019.
In Extreme E, he has been competing for the Andretti team since 2021, winning his first X Prix in Greenland that same year. His younger brother, Kevin, is also involved in the off-road series.
