Christine "GZ" Giampaoli Zonca was born in India to Italian parents. At the age of eight, she moved to Milan and finally to Tenerife, where she began racing. In 2014, she won the Canary Islands Rally Championship. She later raced in individual rally events, including the infamous Baja 1000.
At the 2021 Desert X Prix, "GZ" debuted with Xite Energy in Extreme E. She moved to Veloce Racing for the 2022 season. In 2023, she will compete for Carl Cox Motorsports.
