After several years in karting, Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky raced in various one-make cups such as the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup and the Audi Sport TT Cup. In 2016 and 2017, she also competed in the ADAC GT Masters in an Audi R8 LMS. In 2021, she finished second overall in the Swedish Touring Car Championship STCC.

Since 2021, Ahlin-Kottulinsky has been involved in Extreme E, initially for JBXE, and since 2022 for Rosberg X Racing. In her first season with the German team, she finished runner-up with Johan Kristoffersson.
