Jutta Kleinschmidt

Jutta Kleinschmidt is one of the most successful women in motorsport. Born in Cologne, she was the first and so far only female driver to win the overall classification of the Dakar Rally - in 2001 in the automobile category. In the same year, she was named "ADAC Motor Sportswoman of the Year" as well as "ARD Sportswoman of the Year," among other awards.

In March 2021, Kleinschmidt was introduced as the female "Championship Driver" for the first season of the electric off-road series Extreme E. In this role, she served as a universal substitute driver for all teams. She was called up by ABT Cupra as early as the second race, and was thereafter signed by the German team for the rest of the season and the first round of 2022.
