Kevin Hansen is the son of rallycross legend Kenneth Hansen. After successes in JRX, ERX and GRC, he took part in a World Rallycross Championship event for the first time at the age of 17 - at that time as the youngest driver in the history of the championship.
In Extreme E, Hansen drove for JBXE in the 2021 and 2022 seasons before moving to Veloce Racing in 2023. His brother, Timmy, who is six years older, is also involved in the off-road series.
