Emma Gilmour is from the city of Dunedin, where she still owns a car dealership. She finished second in the New Zealand Rally Championship three times. As a replacement driver for Veloce Racing, she made her debut in Extreme E at the Arctic X Prix in August 2021, and has been driving for McLaren Racing since 2022.
