Nasser Al-Attiyah won the Dakar Rally a total of four times with his alternating co-drivers Timo Gottschalk and Mathieu Baumel. The off-road talent from Qatar also won the WRC-2 in 2014 and 2015, contested several races in the WRC and is a four-time champion of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies.

But motorsport is not his only hobbyhorse: in 2012, Al-Attiyah won the bronze medal for Qatar in skeet shooting at the Olympic Games and has been one of the country's sporting figureheads ever since.

In February 2022, he was introduced as a regular driver for the Extreme E team ABT Cupra XE. The Qatari contested the entire season with alternating teammates and, thanks to good performances, including a victory in the final race of his debut season, was re-signed by the racing team from Kempten for 2023.
