Sorensen comes from a motorsport family in Nevada, her mother and father both raced in off-road championships. After a few years in karting, the U.S. native moved to short-course ovals as well as UTV categories before competing in Formula Drift races for the first time at the age of 19.
In Extreme E, Anderson has been driving for Chip Ganassi Racing since the 2023 season.
