Jamie Laura Chadwick won the inaugural W Series championship in 2019, the same year she was signed as a development driver for Formula One team Williams. The Brit gained her first Formula E experience at the end of 2018 for Nio at the official in-season test in Saudi Arabia. In 2019, she also tested for Nio at the rookie test, and in 2020 she took to the wheel for Jaguar Racing.
In the 2021 season, Chadwick competed in a number of Extreme E races for Veloce Racing.
