As at every race weekend, the FIA race stewards will once again have the task of checking compliance with the Technical and Sporting Regulations at the London E-Prix. If they find an offence at the season finale, they must also determine the penalty. As usual, you will find a list of all the weekend's decisions in this article.

At the London E-Prix 2025, the chairman of the stewards Mathieu Remmerie, the international steward Michael Schwägerl and the national steward Andy Holley will take on this task. They will be supported by driver steward Alexander Sims. Sims is no stranger to Formula E fans. He drove the cars for both BMW i Andretti and Mahindra in the electric racing series. By the time he retired in 2022, the Briton had won one race and achieved three pole positions.

Penalties in free practice on Friday and Saturday

  • Andretti received a fine of 1,500 euros because the state of charge level during Pit Boost was above the specified maximum value.
  • Oliver Rowland was given a "joker tyre" for the rest of the race weekend due to a puncture. Each driver has one joker for front and rear tyres during the season in case of a puncture.
  • Sam Bird was also given a "joker tyre" due to a puncture.
  • Edoardo Mortara had a lap time deleted in the second free practice session because he did not slow down sufficiently in turn 1 when yellow flags were displayed. The Mahindra driver also received a penalty point.
  • Envision Racing was fined 2,500 euros for breaking curfew and working on Sebastien Buemi's car. There was a reliability issue related to the battery. The cause was found to be the drive's wiring harness. However, this was not a part from a standard supplier, but a part provided by powertrain supplier Jaguar. Therefore, the race stewards determined that the team could not claim that the violation was through no fault of its own.

Penalties during qualifying on Saturday

  • Nyck de Vries received a reprimand for driving unnecessarily slowly in turn 19. It was decided in the drivers' meeting that this was prohibited. However, the race stewards considered it a mitigating factor that de Vries did not obstruct anyone, unlike Pascal Wehrlein in Jakarta.
  • Norman Nato was warned for turning into turn 19 even though Nick Cassidy was already positioned there. However, the race stewards considered the fact that there was no contact and that neither driver was on a fast lap to be mitigating circumstances and did not impose a penalty.
  • Maximilian Günther was also given a "joker tyre" due to a puncture of a rear tyre.
  • Nissan lodged a protest against Nico Müller after qualifying. The Andretti driver is alleged to have driven unnecessarily slowly, thereby impeding Norman Nato. The stewards rejected the protest, as Müller had moved aside when Nato was on a fast lap, causing a brief obstruction. However, he did not drive so slowly or unpredictably that a penalty was necessary – especially given that Nato later abandoned his lap anyway after encountering traffic.
  • Mahindra lodged a protest against Mitch Evans after qualifying. The Jaguar driver was alleged to have unnecessarily obstructed Edo Mortara. The stewards also rejected this protest, as Evans had deliberately driven straight ahead in turn 19 in order not to obstruct Mortara, who was merely irritated behind the crest at the entrance to turn 19. It could therefore not be proven that Mortara had been obstructed.

Penalties during and after the race on Saturday

  • Taylor Barnard received a five-second time penalty for maintaining a distance of more than the maximum permitted ten car lengths behind the safety car. The young Briton also received a penalty point.
  • Sebastien Buemi also received a five-second time penalty for maintaining a distance of more than the maximum permitted ten car lengths behind the safety car. Here, too, he received an additional penalty point.
  • Lucas di Grassi received a five-second time penalty for crossing the white line at the pit exit. Once again, a penalty point was awarded.
  • Dan Ticktum was given a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's race. The Cupra Kiro driver had caused a collision with Mitch Evans. Ticktum also received a penalty point.
  • Sebastien Buemi was also given a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's race. Buemi had collided with Nico Müller when he tried to pass the Andretti driver in turn 17. Buemi also received a penalty point.
  • Lucas di Grassi was subsequently given a ten-second time penalty for not using up his second attack mode when he crossed the finish line.
  • Jake Dennis was subsequently given a five-second time penalty for causing a collision with Oliver Rowland. Dennis dropped from 5th to 8th place as a result. This cost not only him and his Andretti team, but also manufacturer Porsche important points in the championship battle. Dennis also received a penalty point.
  • Taylor Barnard was allowed to use a "joker tyre" after the race due to tyre damage on the front axle.
  • Dan Ticktum was allowed to use two "joker tyres" after the race due to tyre damage on the front axle and the rear axle.

Penalties in free practice on Sunday

  • Oliver Rowland was allowed to use a "joker tyre" on the rear axle due to a puncture.
  • Maximilian Günther received a reprimand for impeding Lucas di Grassi in the third free practice session. Günther was preparing for a 350 kW lap, but did not leave enough space for di Grassi to overtake in turn 19, resulting in slight contact between the cars. As it was a free practice session and there was no dangerous situation, the race stewards decided on this penalty.
  • Lucas di Grassi was given a three-place grid penalty. After the situation described above in turn 19, the Brazilian Günther drove into the rear of di Grassi's car in turn 20. The race stewards classified the collision as avoidable and placed the blame solely on di Grassi.

Penalties in qualifying on Sunday

  • Antonio Felix da Costa's fastest lap time in group qualifying was deleted because he caused a red flag. However, this had no effect, as his fastest lap would only have been enough for 11th place in Group A anyway.
  • Pascal Wehrlein was allowed to use a "joker tyre" on the front axle after group qualifying due to a puncture.

Penalties in the race on Sunday

  • Mitch Evans received a five-second time penalty for driving too fast during the full-course yellow. This penalty dropped him from second place to fifth. Evans also received a penalty point.
  • Dan Ticktum received a five-second time penalty for maintaining a distance of more than the maximum permitted ten car lengths behind the safety car. The Briton also received a penalty point on his racing licence.
  • Jean-Eric Vergne received a five-second time penalty for disregarding the race director's instructions and failing to stop when he missed the chicane and subsequently returned to the track.
  • Dan Ticktum received another five-second time penalty for causing a collision with Norman Nato. He also received another penalty point on his racing licence.
  • Oliver Rowland received a three-place grid penalty for his next Formula E race for causing a collision with Nico Müller. Rowland had left the track and returned to the circuit in an unsafe manner, resulting in the collision. He also received a penalty point.
