Reprimands for Dennis & de Vries! All Formula E penalties at the London E-Prix at a glance

At the London E-Prix, as at every race in the Formula E World Championship, the stewards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) are responsible for ensuring compliance with the Technical and Sporting Regulations. Should a breach be identified, it is their responsibility to determine the appropriate penalty. As usual, this article provides a list of all the decisions made over the weekend.

At the 2026 London E-Prix, Chief Steward Achim Loth, International Steward Mathieu Remmerie and National Steward Trevor Williams will take on this role. They will be supported by Driver Steward Alexander Sims. Sims is no stranger to Formula E fans. He drove for both BMW i Andretti and Mahindra in the electric racing series. Until his retirement in 2022, the Briton won one race and secured three pole positions.

Penalties ahead of the race weekend

• Lucas di Grassi received a five-second time penalty in Tokyo for driving too fast under a red flag. As he did not finish in the top ten, the penalty was converted into a three-place grid penalty for the first race at the London E-Prix.
• Edoardo Mortara was retrospectively handed a ten-second time penalty in Tokyo for causing a collision with Joel Eriksson. As Mortara also did not finish in the top ten, the penalty was converted into a five-place grid penalty for the first race of the London E-Prix.

Penalties following qualifying on Saturday

• Jake Dennis received a reprimand for causing a collision with Nyck de Vries during the group stage of qualifying. It was his second reprimand of the current season. Should he receive a third one, he will automatically get a ten places grid penalty for the next race.
• Nyck de Vries also received a reprimand for hindering Dennis. This was his first warning of the season.
