The final double-header of Formula E season 11 once again had plenty of excitement to offer - even though Oliver Rowland had already been crowned world champion in Berlin. As in Berlin, Jaguar dominated the weekend at will - especially with Nick Cassidy, who won both races and finished runner-up in the world championship. But Nyck de Vries and Mitch Evans were also particularly impressive.
After each race of Formula E Season 11, our editors award points on a scale between 1 and 10 for all drivers. They are then sorted according to their average "rating score". The rating is based exclusively on driving performance, not the potential of the car or external circumstances.
Nick Cassidy | Jaguar TCS Racing | 10.0
Season 11 ended on an unexpectedly positive note for Nick Cassidy. After winning Race 1 of the double header from 5th on the grid with the right strategy, his victory on Sunday was all the more dominant: The New Zealander benefited from Dan Ticktum's penalty from the previous day to start from the first position on the grid. After the start of the race, he was unstoppable and drove to an outstanding lights-to-flag win. His strong performance even earned him second place in the drivers' championship. Two months ago, this would have been unthinkable. An almost perfect weekend for Cassidy!
Nyck de Vries | Mahindra Racing | 9.4
Although Nyck de Vries did not manage to win the weekend, he was particularly strong in the first race. He was in the lead for several laps and fought a thrilling battle with Cassidy. He had nothing to counter the overtaking manoeuvre that followed later. Nevertheless, it was enough for a strong second place. Although he did not cross the finish line in second place on Sunday, he inherited the position due to a penalty against Mitch Evans. It was a very strong race weekend for Mahindra. They finished the season in 4th place in the team championship.
Mitch Evans | Jaguar TCS Racing | 8.2
Mitch Evans did not have quite as flawless a weekend as his team-mate. However, this was less due to him and more to strategic mistakes made by the team, which was also evident from his radio messages. In the first race, the strategy cost him his lead and threw him a long way back. It became even worse by a spin after a contact with Dan Ticktum, for which the Briton took the blame.
On Sunday, Evans was unable to do anything against Cassidy in the race. He was behind him the whole time and demanded a place swap, which never materialised. The reason for the demand was a 5-second penalty, which he wanted to take back while in the lead. However, Cassidy rode away and won with a lead of more than 13 seconds. Evans was demoted to 5th place. The fastest man in London deserved more.
Flop of the E-Prix: Zane Maloney | Lola Yamaha ABT | 2.8
Rookie Zane Maloney had a completely unremarkable 2024-25 season, and his final weekend in London was no different. He had one retirement on Saturday, in the race on Sunday he finished in 16th place. The Barbardier is the only driver not to score a single point in season 11. Nevertheless, he is in a positive mood and his team also seems convinced by him. According to him, his focus is already fully on season 12.
