Taylor Barnard and Maximilian Günther form a new driver duo for the DS Penske team. However, we won't have to get used to a new car, as the Parisian premium brand DS continues to focus on its black and gold design philosophy. Similar to the Gen3 Evo drive, the livery has also undergone only minor tweaks for this season, with just a few additional gold accents added.

In addition to the minor colour changes, Barnard will retire the number 5 racing number he wore at McLaren. Instead, the young Briton will compete with the number 77, which he already drove in Formula 4 in 2022. Günther, on the other hand, will once again compete with the number 7 in his seventh Formula E season and with seven Formula E victories under his belt.

New golden colour nuances

The livery has the same design as last year. It was already created a year earlier as a special livery for the Monaco E-Prix. So we continue to see the classic colour combination of gold and black. The base of the car is deep black and the gold is mainly used on the edges of the car to add elegant colour accents. New gold accents include the halo, mirrors and side plates of the rear and front wings.

Eugenio Franzetti, Director of DS Performance, emphasises why the team opted for this extravagant look: "We are very excited to start the twelfth Formula E season with the new DS E-Tense FE25, which perfectly embodies the premium character of DS Automobiles."

Franzetti expects great performance from the car and from the new driver pairing: "Elegant and powerful – this race car will be DS Penske's most important asset. Thanks to it and our great driver duo, I am convinced that we will achieve new victories and once again be among the frontrunners in the championship."

Barnard and Günther will be behind the steering wheel of the new DS E-Tense FE25 during pre-season testing starting on 27 October in Valencia.
