Edoardo Mortara wins the 3rd free practice session at Tempelhof. The Swiss was able to secure the best time in the tight time chase with a time of 0:57.581 minutes. In bright sunshine, the two DS Penske cars of Max Günther and Taylor Barnard, Pascal Wehrlein and Jean-Eric-Vergne completed the top 5.

The third free practice session started on Sunday morning in pleasantly warm conditions. Under blue skies, the drivers took to the track on time at 09:30 (CEST) to prepare for the second race in Berlin. However, the drivers' first times were more than a minute faster. Antonio Felix da Costa was the first to take the lead with a time of 1:02.350 minutes. Meanwhile, Max Günther had to come back to the garage because he was driving with under-inflated tyres. An investigation was initiated against him.

After just under ten minutes, the times were already well under a minute again. Jean-Eric Vergne took the lead with a lap time of 0:58.529 minutes. Team-mate Nick Cassidy took second place, with the drivers getting faster and faster.

Felipe Drugovich with a strong lap

Felipe Drugovich attracted attention with a strong time and took the lead. After around 15 minutes, things quietened down again on the track. Most of the drivers returned to their garages to make adjustments. Drugovich was still in the lead ahead of Maloney at this point. The top five was completed by Joel Eriksson, Lucas di Grassi and Sebastien Buemi.

After a short break in the pits, most of the drivers returned to the track and continued their programme. Drugovich's fastest time still stood. A short time later, however, Dan Ticktum set an even faster lap and took the lead. However, this did not last long: both Mahindra drivers moved ahead of Ticktum. Nyck de Vries was in first place ahead of yesterday's pole-sitter Edoardo Mortara.

Günther & Mortara move into the lead

Maximilian Günther was the next to take the lead. Once again, it was Mortara who showed his strength and won the session thanks to an even faster lap. The session ended without any incidents. Günther, Barnard, Wehrlein and Vergne completed the Top 5, with only Günther receiving a fine for his offence at the start of the session.

Qualifying for the Berlin E-Prix starts at 11:40 (CEST). As always, the session can be followed in our live ticker.
