Antonio Felix da Costa took the victory of the second Jeddah "Double Header". Sebastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland fiercely defended the last two podium places. Mortara, who started from pole, finished the race in 4th place.
The second race of the Jeddah "Double Header", the fifth race of the 12th Formula E season, took place on Saturday evening at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Mahindra driver Edoardo Mortara secured pole position for the second day in a row with a dominant qualifying session. Behind him on the grid were season 9 champion Jake Dennis and season 6 champion Antonio Felix da Costa.

The race started with the cars driving forward into their grid positions to get the tyres up to temperature and then the racing for the 20 cars started without any problems, unlike yesterday where de Vries' car was unable to start. He went straight into the pits at the start of the race for his 10-second stop-and-go penalty. The reason was the change of parts on his car after the first Jeddah race the day before. At the start, Rowland was able to work his way straight to the front and Buemi also took the lead at the start of the race, with Felix da Costa also in the mix at the front. But Buemi dropped back again to save energy. He dropped back to third position behind Rowland at the front and Felix da Costa behind the reigning world champion. Saving energy became an important issue for many drivers. However, the fight continued to be fierce. On several occasions, the drivers were only able to just about avoid contact while fighting for positions. "These guys really don't know how to win these races", Jake Dennis told his team over the radio.
Wild change at the front
Fierce battles at the front characterised the race, where race leader Felix da Costa drove away from the field with Attack Mode in tow and Buemi, Rowland and Mortara battled hard behind him for the remaining podium places. There was a slight contact between Mortara and Rowland, where they made light contact. Ticktum in 5th place also continued to fight hard with his team-mate Marti in 6th place, there was no giving up in the hope of perhaps finishing on the podium. But in the end there was no getting past Mortara, Rowland, Buemi and Felix da Costa. This allowed Jaguar driver Antonio Felix da Costa to take victory in the second Jeddah race of the 12th season in commanding, dominant style.
