Andretti driver Jake Dennis won the third free practice session in Jeddah. The top three were completed by Mitch Evans in the Jaguar and Cupra Kiro driver Dan Ticktum. As in Free Practice 1, there was another minor collision in this session - this time between Antonio Felix da Costa and Jean-Eric Vergne. There were no other incidents.

After a thrilling race yesterday (Friday), the third free practice session for the double header in Jeddah began punctually at 1:30 pm local time. Practice for the fifth race of the season started in sunny conditions. With an outside temperature of 30°C, the drivers set about preparing for the second Jeddah race.

While all the drivers went straight out onto the track, Nyck de Vries' Mahindra initially remained in the garage after not being able to start yesterday's race. Meanwhile, Dan Ticktum set the first reference time. He was followed shortly afterwards by Jake Dennis, who set a time of 1:17.283 minutes ahead of Ticktum.

Nyck de Vries now also on the track

Around 15 minutes after the start of practice, de Vries also took to the track. Most of the drivers returned to the pits. Not much changed in the timesheets after around 20 minutes. Sebastien Buemi initially took the lead before yesterday's race winner Pascal Wehrlein followed suit. Lucas di Grassi took third place, while Dennis' time was still enough for fourth place.

15 minutes before the end of the session, most of the drivers were back out on track and steadily improving their times. The lead in the timesheets changed frequently. The times were now under 1:16 minutes for most drivers. Ten minutes before the end, Mitch Evans was in the lead with a time of 1:15.320 minutes. Behind him, Max Günther was now in second place, with Dennis improving to third place.

Antonio Felix da Costa was conspicuously slow, missing Evans' best time by around two seconds. While the drivers tried to improve their times again towards the end, there was an incident between Felix da Costa and Jean-Eric Vergne. While trying to set a fast time, Felix da Costa collided with Vergne, who apparently blocked him. The Frenchman may still face a grid penalty for this.

Jake Dennis won the 3rd free practice session with a time of 1:15.227 minutes. Qualifying starts again today at 1:40 pm (CET) and can of course be followed again in the e-Formula.news live ticker.
