Jaguar outpaces the competition! The e-Formula.news driver rating for the 2025 Berlin race weekend

Formula E paid a visit to the German capital Berlin last weekend. The mixed weather made for two completely different race days at Tempelhofer Feld. In the end, however, the results were similar: a Jaguar driver won on both Saturday and Sunday, while his team-mate finished fifth. While Jaguar had its best weekend of the season, Lola Yamaha Abt experienced a disaster without any superpowers, despite its Superman livery.
After each round of Formula E Season 11, our editors award points on a scale between 1 and 10 for all drivers. They are then sorted according to their average "rating score". The rating is based exclusively on driving performance, not the potential of the car or external circumstances.
Mitch Evans | Jaguar TCS Racing | 9.0
Mitch Evans won the first race of the season in Sao Paulo, after which not another point followed until the Berlin weekend. The New Zealander broke this series of disasters in the German rain in furious style. Despite the weather disadvantage in Group A, he dominated qualifying and secured pole position. He made no mistakes in the race and won. His Sunday was also rock solid. Finally a weekend like we've seen from Evans in the past!
Nick Cassidy | Jaguar TCS Racing | 8.8
The second Jaguar driver, Nick Cassidy, managed to win Sunday's race. He had only started from 20th on the grid! However, as we have often seen from Cassidy, he is impressively good at reading tactical races. In the energy battle on Sunday, he put himself in the right position to win at the right time. However, Cassidy's qualifying performances were disastrous and very far behind his team-mate.
Pascal Wehrlein | TAG Heuer Porsche | 7.8
It was a tough weekend for Pascal Wehrlein, who is no longer the reigning world champion. In the first race, he scored many important points with a second place and was able to fight for victory. On Sunday, he drove one of his best qualifying sessions of the season and took pole position. In the second half of the race, however, it was all backwards and out of the points. Despite his undisputed pace, the unnecessary practice accident with team-mate Antonio Felix da Costa on Friday also spoilt his performance at Tempelhof.
Flop of the E-Prix: Zane Maloney | Lola Yamaha ABT | 3.4
Zane Maloney's weekend in Berlin began with him injuring his foot during the photo shoot for the presentation of the Superman livery. According to his own statement, this did not affect him, but is almost emblematic of the Lola Yamaha ABT weekend. The pure pace has hardly been worse anywhere this season than here in Berlin. Neither Maloney nor Lucas di Grassi were able to keep pace with the competition in the race.
The Barbadian has had a season without highlights: Zero points and not even a duel entry in qualifying. The two races in Berlin thus join a total of 14 races without a bright spot. Of course, Maloney has the potential and talent, but whether Lola Yamaha ABT and he are the right team for each other is becoming more questionable with each race. Zane Maloney must finally show what he can do in London - otherwise the air will become thin.
