In Saturday's race of the Formula E double-header in Jeddah, Cupra Kiro with Dan Ticktum finished in the top 10 and collected important points for the championship for the second time in four races. Ticktum rates the weekend positively for the team despite some strategic difficulties. Team-mate David Beckmann, on the other hand, once again came away from the double-header without any points, but nevertheless sees an improvement from Friday to Saturday. Team principal Alex Hui announces updates for Miami.

Both drivers qualified acceptably for Saturday's race in Jeddah with 9th place (Ticktum) and 11th place (Beckmann). Ticktum stayed in the points throughout the race and was even able to move up to 4th place thanks to the attack mode. He ultimately finished the race in 9th place and took home two championship points.

"Today was better than yesterday"

Compared to Friday's race, in which Ticktum came away empty-handed due to technical problems and a change of front wing, Ticktum is positive, even if, in his opinion, not everything went smoothly: "Today was better than yesterday. We went in the right direction. We didn't have the pace in qualifying, but we were able to pull ourselves together to be able to start in the top 10, which is the most important thing."

"The first half of the race went really well, but I don't think we did everything right with the attack mode strategy, which cost us a few places in the end. But all in all it was a positive weekend", said Ticktum.

Beckmann analysed his race as follows: "We had a good starting position in qualifying with eleventh place and also a good start to the race. We struggled to make up positions in the first attack mode. From the middle of the race, however, we had problems keeping up. We simply had less energy than the others."

In addition, there were "also a few contacts", explains the German. "Basically, we simply lacked the pace at the end of the race. We have to analyse exactly what went wrong." Beckmann knows that there is still a lot of room for improvement for his team and himself: "We still have a big step to make in the race." Hui: "The feeling prevails that we could have achieved more"

Team principal Alex Hui is delighted with the points, although he also believes that theoretically more would have been possible: "It's nice to have scored more points, although the prevailing feeling is that we could have achieved more. It's good to be rewarded for our performance."

"We have shown in every race this season that there is potential, and for Miami we can use the result as inspiration and preparation. We have a clear idea of how we can improve our package. I'm already looking forward to our home race in April", said Hui. The Miami E-Prix takes place on 12 April at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
