M11Electro in metallic red: Mahindra Racing reveals car livery for 11th Formula E season
Tim Neuhaus
Mahindra Racing has unveiled its livery for the eleventh Formula E season. The "M11Electro" comes in bright red and should be easy for fans to recognise. After two seasons at the back of the field, the Indian manufacturer team finally wants to attack again in the 2024/25 season.
Mahindra wants to stand out! The metallic coating makes the colours shine a lot brighter than last year. The mixture of red, grey and carbon remains. Large areas of grey gave way to grey accents that frame the red. Both the red and the carbon fibre increased significantly in the new paintwork. The design language of the M11Electro is no longer simple, but almost aggressive.

Not only the new livery is pushing forward
In addition to a new look, Mahindra will also bring a newly developed powertrain, improved suspension and revised aerodynamics to the tests in Valencia. The team used the break between seasons to test the new technology in the best possible way. With an average of 500 kilometres per test day, Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara reportedly achieved a historic record among all Formula E teams.
Mahindra's top priority was to significantly improve reliability. The pure performance of the M11Electro was a late priority. Team principal Frederic Bertrand believes the cards have been reshuffled: "A lot will have changed on the track and we have to see where we stand compared to the competition. But we had a positive off-season. The tests went as planned."
Driver duo want to pick up where they left off last season
Former Formula E world champion Nyck de Vries is entering his second season with Mahindra. The Dutchman has confidence in the new red: "To use the old cliché: If it drives as fast as it looks, then we're in for a good year after the progress we made at the end of last season!"
Edoardo Mortara also has similar comments about the new car: "A new car is a new opportunity for all teams, and seeing it here with the new livery makes everything feel much more real. I can't wait to get to Valencia and get a better understanding of where we are and where we can go from here."
He will be able to find this out at the pre-season tests in Valencia from 4 to 7 November.
