The new Formula E documentary series, "Formula E: Driver" is now available on Prime Video. The four-part series from Astronaut Films provides unfiltered insights into the emotional season 10, focussing on the drivers Antonio Felix da Costa, Mitch Evans, Jake Dennis and Dan Ticktum.

With exclusive footage from on and off the track, the series begins in Mexico, where the then reigning champion Jake Dennis is set to defend his title. Dan Ticktum battles with his reputation as a "bad boy", and in the end, five drivers compete for the title at the dramatic season finale in London.

"With 'Formula E: Driver' we offer new and existing fans a direct, authentic and unfiltered insight into the compelling stories of four of our outstanding drivers," explains Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer of Formula E. The stories go "far beyond the sporting action on the track. We look forward to presenting this relentless perspective to a global audience on Prime Video."

"'Formula E: Driver' has been a real privilege to produce," says Jon Alwen, Executive Producer and CEO of Astronaut Films. "The whole world of Formula E is a fantastic, global circus with big names like Porsche, Jaguar and Andretti competing for the title. With this series, we wanted to try and show what it is really like for the drivers to be under constant pressure on and off the track."

Dennis: "This series captures so much more"

"This documentary takes you completely behind the scenes and gives fans an unadulterated insight into what it means to be a racing driver," says Felix da Costa. "We have captured the highs, the lows and everything in between - bringing viewers into our world so they can experience the intensity, pressure and passion that drives our sport. Success and failure define motorsport, and with this series we're lifting the curtain."

His colleague Dennis adds: "Having the production team with me throughout the season gives a real insight into what it's like to be a Formula E driver. Fans usually only see what happens on race day, but this series captures so much more. It's great to have documentaries like this that bring fans closer to the sport."

The filming of "Formula E: Driver" was pretty intense, Ticktum recalls, "but I really enjoyed it. I like the fact that Formula E and all the people at Astronaut were very keen for the drivers to show who they are. The filming was great fun and I was always able to be myself. I hope the series will be a great success so that we can continue filming for years to come."

All four episodes of "Formula E: Driver" are now available on Prime Video.
