At the start of the twelfth Formula E season, Andretti presented a completely different livery to the previous year. Instead of white, red and blue, the Andretti colours, they opted for black and red. The reason for this was the new owner, TWG Motorsports. The red colour will disappear from the car before the Miami E-Prix and will not return. Instead, Andretti will line up in a bright yellow colour to represent the partnership with TWG AI.

TWG AI is now the official AI partner of Andretti Global. The company is part of the TWG Group and develops AI technologies specifically for financial and insurance service providers, the sports sector and other industries. TWG AI will be Andretti's main partner in both the Formula E programme and the IndyCar Series.

2 fewer red cars on the grid

With the disappearance of the red colour, nothing on the car is the same as it was in season 11. A neon yellow, similar to Cupra Kiro, represents the identity of TWG AI. The entire centre of the car, mirrors and halo as well as smaller accents on the front and rear wings are affected by the colour change.

In addition, the TWG AI logo has been generously distributed across the bodywork. Instead of TWG Motorsport, however, the new logo can be found on almost every conceivable surface of the car. Interestingly, the design has been extended with abstract white stripes, which create quite involuntary patterns. This means that there are now two fewer red cars in Formula E. Certainly a thankful decision, as four mainly red teams in the first two races could certainly cause confusion.

AI as a competitive advantage

The aim of this partnership is to create a competitive advantage with the help of AI technology from TWG AI. Team Principal Roger Griffiths is keen for the partnership to be successful: "Collaborating with TWG AI will help us make better decisions based on more credible information in real time, and with Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich behind the wheel, we’re focused on pushing the limits with TWG AI’s technology to gain every possible edge on track."

Andretti has had a perfect start to the season. The new colour will not change the promising performance so far. But perhaps the fresh coat of paint will bring the necessary luck to Miami, where the next Formula E race is scheduled for 31 January. Andretti is travelling to its home race in second place in the teams' standings with 36 points.
