In addition to the new signing of Pepe Marti for the Cupra Kiro team, it was decided to promote Russel O'Hagan to team principal for the coming season. The former Chief Operating Officer joined the team in 2021 and will take on the new role for the first time in the 2025-26 season. The team also unveiled a new livery. This is a further development of the previous season - much more structured and with a clear concept.

The creation of last year's livery was unusual, as the Kiro team's actual livery was simply neon yellow. At first, there was no sign of copper. It was only when Cupra came on board as title sponsor at the start of the season that the livery was changed again for the second race of the season in Mexico City. This resulted in the copper-coloured upper section, which represented Cupra. This year, this concept has been expanded to create a clearer harmony.

Less distraction and a revised front end

The colour scheme remains unchanged from the previous season. The upper section is predominantly copper-coloured, while the lower half, including the wings, features Kiro's neon yellow. To emphasise the connection between Cupra and Kiro, the idea was conceived in season 11 to add neon yellow dots to the copper upper section. This has been largely dispensed with in season 12, with a slightly modified version of this principle now only used on the rear.

Cupra and Kiro are now linked on the upper half of the front section by creating a yellow, jagged transition between black and copper. This has an aggressive look and embodies the electric basis of Formula E. Overall, the paintwork appears less distracting and better coordinated.

A proud new team boss

Alex Hui held the position of team principal at Cupra Kiro last year. He is stepping down to take on a new role as senior advisor within the owner company. His successor, O'Hagan, has been with the team since 2021 and brings 25 years of operational experience in motorsport to the table. He is delighted with his new position: "It is a privilege to lead Kiro Race Co into the 2025-26 season, and I'm delighted to have been entrusted with this opportunity."

In preparation for season 12, there have been some changes within the team: "During the off-season, we have made a number of changes internally to strengthen our long-term position as an organisation, and thanks to the steps we've taken, we're ready to build on our momentum."

The next step for O'Hagan and the team is the pre-season test, which will take place in Valencia starting on 27 October. Cupra Kiro is already looking ahead to Spain with its new team boss: "Testing is the next phase of our journey, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve. We are excited for a strong and competitive season ahead."
