On day 3 of testing: Maserati MSG Racing "unveils" new car livery for the 2024/25 Formula E season

The Monegasque Formula E team Maserati MSG Racing has officially unveiled its livery for the upcoming eleventh Formula E season. However, not before the tests like all the other teams, and not on the first day of testing in Madrid, but after the fourth session during the lunch break on Thursday. Accordingly, it has long been known: Maserati will continue to compete in blue, but has repainted the roll bar and the rear section.
The names of past winning cars and successes of the Italian sports car manufacturer are now emblazoned on the rear of the car, including the Tipo Folgore in which Max Günther won the Tokyo E-Prix in the last Formula E season. The car tells the story of the Maserati brand's victories and successes over 110 years of motorsport.
The name Maserati Tipo Folgore pays homage to the all-electric Trident model series and symbolises a bridge between the past, present and future, it says in a press release. The paintwork in the familiar Maserati blue is finished with rose gold accents at the rear, which are intended to symbolise innovation and electrification.

"It was a great honour to work on the livery of our Formula E single-seater for the third year in a row," says Maserati Head of Design Klaus Busse. "While the aesthetic of this year's design continues to build on the brand's electrification journey, symbolised by the Folgore copper colour, it is also intended to celebrate Maserati's rich history in motorsport with a tribute to the milestones of its 110-year history - an anniversary we will be celebrating early next month."
"A great honour to represent such an iconic car brand in Formula E"
"The names of these unforgettable champions, the race tracks and the dates of the Grand Prix victories therefore appear around the driver's cockpit, seamlessly projecting them into the future thanks to our racing DNA," Busse continues.
MSG team principal Cyril Blais says: "It continues to be a great honour for us to represent such an iconic car brand in Formula E. Racing the now recognisable Maserati Tipo Folgore is a huge responsibility. Maserati has an impressive pedigree on and off the track and it has been an honour to bring the Trident back to the top step of the podium in seasons 9 and 10."
"With this eye-catching livery, which is testament to Maserati's impressive motorsport history and the team's success in the championship, we look forward to fighting for more landmark victories together in season 11," adds Blais.
