Nico Müller is leaving the Andretti Formula E team after just one season together. The team announced this on Tuesday via its social media channels. The Swiss driver, who has also been a member of the Porsche works driver squad since last year, is to succeed Antonio Felix da Costa at the Porsche works team. The vacant cockpit at Andretti, on the other hand, ex expected to go to the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich.

"This season we’ve shared highs, lows and everything in between," the team said goodbye to its driver. "Thank you, Nico, for being part of our Andretti story."

"It's time to say goodbye and thank you to everyone at Andretti," Müller simultaneously announced via his social media channels. "A few challenges thrown at us during our season, but we never gave up and made memories and lessons for life - feeling grateful for the time together. All the best and see you on track!"

Müller had only an average season with Andretti. Two fourth places in Miami and Jakarta were the Swiss driver's best results for the US team. With 48 points, he finished the season in 15th place overall, while his teammate Jake Dennis finished seventh with almost twice as many points. Andretti only managed 7th place in the overall standings.

We expect an official announcement regarding the future of Nico Müller this week. A few days later, there should also be definitive clarity about the second Andretti cockpit.
