After signing Mitch Evans, Opel has now also unveiled the livery for its first Formula E season. The Gen4 car, named GSE 27FE, will race in neon yellow, silver and black, drawing on colours from the brand's motorsport history. The car will make its first public appearance in Paris this weekend.
Neon yellow remains as silver is added
With its first official livery, Opel is also giving a first indication of the visual identity of its new Formula E programme. The three main colour blocks, neon yellow, silver and black, reference liveries used by Opel throughout its motorsport history. The neon yellow already seen on the test livery remains the most striking element. The accent colour stretches from the front wing across the sidepods, while the rear of the car is also finished in yellow.

The biggest change compared with the test livery can be found in the middle section of the car. Opel has opted for silver here, combining it with the yellow accents. Silver cars have not been seen in Formula E since Mercedes left the championship.
The black sections are mainly used to highlight the Opel logo on the sidepods and the "Grand Sport Electric" lettering, shortened to GSE, on the front wing. Apart from Formula E branding, no other sponsor logos are currently visible on the car.
Mitch Evans impressed by fresh look
Long-time Jaguar driver Mitch Evans will share driving duties in the GSE 27FE with Theo Pourchaire. Evans is already impressed by the final design. "I think the final design looks fantastic. It builds on our concept and test design, but looks even more refined while remaining unmistakably Opel. The additional silver gives the car a really ambitious and sharp look. And most importantly, it looks fast!"
The Opel GSE 27FE will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show this weekend. A few weeks later, it will make its first official appearance on track when Opel takes part in the Formula E test in Madrid from November 16 with Evans and Pourchaire. There, the new manufacturer will face its Gen4 rivals under official conditions for the first time.
