[01/30 | 3:22 pm] Before the last Formula E race in Mexico City, Citroen driver Nick Cassidy made a bet with his team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne that he would have his hair shaved off if he won the race. This came true, so it was now the New Zealander's turn to honour his bet. The moment when Vergne shaved off Cassidy's hair with the electric razor was captured by their Citroen team.

[01/30 | 2:51 pm] As reported by the FE Notebook, the French-based teams Citroen, DS Penske and Nissan had to deal with a flight cancellation when travelling to Miami. This led to considerable delays in the preparations for the race weekend. Due to the exceptional situation, the teams were granted an extension of the closing time on the set-up day to prepare the garages.

[01/30 | 2:07 pm] Benefit Corporation, or B Corp for short, is an international certificate awarded by the non-profit organisation B Lab to companies for their social and environmental impact. Formula E has now been honoured with this award, as the electric world championship announced. The high social and environmental standards at the racing events, meaningful contributions to local communities, best-practice strategies for employee well-being and the company's commitment to transparency and accountability were decisive for the B Corp certification.

Julia Palle, Vice President of Sustainability at Formula E, commented in a statement: "The B Corp certification is a powerful recognition that electric racing can do more than inspire - it can create real, measurable change. By joining the B Corp community, we will collaborate, challenge each other and deepen our impact in the sport and industry."

[01/30 | 1:59 pm] British actor Lucien Laviscount, best known for his role as Alfie in the Netflix series "Emily in Paris", has been announced as Formula E's official brand ambassador. Throughout the season, fans can look forward to seeing him interact with teams and drivers as he champions sustainable programmes and shares his enthusiasm for Formula E with audiences around the world.

>>> Maya Weug drives Formula E in Miami

[01/30 | 1:38 pm] Dutch racing driver Maya Weug announced on Instagram that she will be driving one of the Formula E electric race cars during the Formula E race weekend in Miami. Weug most recently drove for Ferrari in the F1 Academy and secured the runner-up title.

In her Instagram story, the racing driver commented as follows: "This weekend will be my first time driving a Formula E car, so I'm really excited to get back in the cockpit. Many thanks to Formula E for this opportunity. I can't wait to get on the track" We reckon she'll get to drive the official Formula E demo car for a few laps.

>>> Aidan Gallagher visits Envision Racing in Miami

[01/30 | 1:25 pm] There will be a special guest in the Envision Racing garage this weekend: US actor and musician Aidan Gallagher. Gallagher has been committed to environmental and climate protection issues for many years. >>> Formula E car on the Miami Tower with Usain Bolt

[01/30 | 1:12 pm] To mark the start of the 2026 Formula E race weekend in Miami, ABB, title partner of Formula E, illuminated the Miami Tower with the electric Formula E racing car. Sprinter legend Usain Bolt was also on site. He sat behind the wheel of the racing car there. A light show on the Miami Tower in the heart of the city skyline accompanied the spectacle and inspired the theme of electrification and automation on and off the race track.
