Sebastien Buemi put another exclamation mark on the Formula E season finale in London. From 19th on the grid, he drove up to third place, putting Envision Racing in eighth place overall. This should have further improved his chances for a seat in the 2025-26 season.

"It was a great drive from P19 to P3", says Buemi and emphasises: "A great strategy from the team. They guided me very well - we did a good job together. That was really nice, because yesterday was a difficult day where we've done a lot of mistakes. But today we did everything right."

On Saturday, Buemi came away empty-handed in 16th place - while rival Maserati MSG scored a decent haul of points with Stoffel Vandoorne in 4th place. Against this backdrop, Envision faced a Herculean task, especially as Robin Frijns and Sebastien Buemi only started the race from grid positions 12 and 19.

However, the experienced Buemi was not deterred by this and made up 16 places in the race. "We finished on the podium - this is the perfect end to the season", he says.

"Looking forward already to next year"

"We managed to overtake Maserati and Kiro in the championship. So, not much morr we could have achieved this weekend. I'm now looking forward to couple of weeks of rest, but also to next year."

Not least thanks to his third place in the season finale, Buemi has probably put himself in a good position to drive for Envision for another year. With his surprise victory in Monaco and two further podiums in Jakarta and London, he has certainly shown that he can still do it.

Teammate Robin Frijns, on the other hand, is on the fence and has not had a good season. Seventh place on Saturday in London was his best result of the season. The Dutchman only scored 23 points and finished 19th overall, while Buemi scored 84 points and ultimately finished twelfth.
