Travel, catering & more: Questions & answers about the 2024 Formula E race in Berlin-Tempelhof

For the tenth year in a row, the electric racing series Formula E will be making a guest appearance in the German capital Berlin next weekend (11 and 12 May 2024). Fans can expect a completely new track layout. Therefore, the "Allianz Fan Village" will no longer be set up under the covered area of the disused Tempelhof Airport, but towards Tempelhofer Feld.

How to get to the venue

By foot: The public entrance for pedestrians can be reached via the Tempelhofer Feld West or Südwest entrances on Tempelhofer Damm: Tempelhofer Damm 59, 12101 Berlin. From there, visitors will be guided to the entrance of the event.

By bike: Tempelhofer Feld is freely accessible by bike. Bicycles are not permitted inside the event site. However, cyclists can use the lockers and parking spaces in and around Tempelhofer Feld. Bike sharing stations are available at the Tempelhofer Feld West and Southwest entrances.

Bus & Train: The venue is well connected to public transport. The nearest underground stations are "Paradestraße" and "Tempelhof" (U6). There are several bus stops in the immediate vicinity of the Tempelhofer Feld West and Südwest entrances.

Car: There are no parking spaces at this event. Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility will be provided near the entrance to Tempelhofer Feld (West).

When is the site open?

The gates are open on both Saturday and Sunday from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm (CEST).

Is the venue accessible?

The venue is flat and there is no need to cross bridges or use lifts. Access ramps will be available in the "Allianz Fan Village" and all sanitary areas will have special barrier-free facilities. This also applies to the autograph session in the paddock. A separate wheelchair platform is available. Tickets for this can be purchased on the official FIA Formula E ticket website.

What security checks will be carried out?

There will be a security and bag check at the entrance to the venue. Please note the guidelines on prohibited items that may not be brought to the event.

Can you still buy tickets at the box office on site?

Depending on availability, tickets can be purchased at the box office near the main entrance at Tempelhofer Feld. However, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance to guarantee admission.

Can the entire race be followed from the "Allianz Fan Village"?

Yes, the live broadcast of the race can be followed on large screens at various locations in the "Allianz Fan Village".

What food & drink options are available?

There will be a range of catering options in the "Allianz Fan Village". Refreshments and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. In addition, there will be a free refill service for water at the "Allianz Hydration Stations". When you enter the "Allianz Fan Village", you will receive your free "Allianz Eco Cup". Keep it with you and keep refilling it.

Supporting programme: What concerts & activities are there?

Natalie Jane will be performing on Saturday and Culcha Candela will be on stage on Sunday. Sports activities such as a climbing tower, BMX pump track, table tennis and basketball hoops will keep the fans moving.

Should I expect additional costs for the activities on site?

There are no additional costs for on-site entertainment and activations, including the Formula E Gaming Arena. Food and beverages, on the other hand, can be purchased for a fee.

Is merchandise available on site?

Yes, there will be several stores in the "Allianz Fan Village".

What payment methods are available?
