In just under a month, the E1 Series - the first racing series for electric motorboats - will start its first season in the harbour of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The Chinese metropolis of Hong Kong will host the final race weekend for three years. In between, five European races are scheduled from February to November. The E1 will therefore organise a total of seven races in its debut season.
Just under three months after the season opener, the E1 will travel to Venice to organise its race in the world-famous lagoon. This will be followed by a stop on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in Puerto Banos near the city of Marbella. One of the highlights could be the "evening race" on Lake Geneva, which is scheduled for 29 and 30 June. Monaco and Rotterdam, where the series held its first demo races, will round off the European races.
