The Formula E project of manufacturer Stellantis has a new leader: Leo Thomas, previously race director at DS Penske, is to become the new Formula E director at Stellantis. The Frenchman will be responsible for the powertrain development for the teams DS Penske and Maserati MSG Racing and will succeed Thomas Chevaucher, who is leaving the company.

Thomas began his motorsport career as part of his engineering studies in January 2005. In 2008, he joined Peugeot's Le Mans project as a data analyst, where he worked his way up to race engineer. At the end of the project in 2012, he moved to Sebastien Loeb Racing as Technical Manager before joining the Formula E arm of DS in January 2016, where he also accompanied the team switch from Techeetah to Penske.
