Envision Racing parts ways with Buemi & Eriksson: New driver line-up for Formula E Season 13

Envision Racing will completely overhaul its driver line-up for the GEN4 era. Ahead of the season finale in London, the British Formula E team has confirmed that Sebastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson will no longer race for the team after the final two races. Buemi will, however, remain with Envision in an advisory and development role. According to a media report, Maximilian Günther has already signed for one of the two seats.
Buemi has raced for Envision since Season 9 and has enjoyed several major successes with the team, including winning the Teams' World Championship and the Monaco E-Prix. Eriksson achieved his best result for the team this season with third place in Shanghai. His relationship with Envision dates back to 2018. It remains unclear who could take the second seat alongside Günther. Envision plans to announce its full Season 13 driver line-up after the London E-Prix.
"This has been a difficult decision, particularly given the contribution both Seb and Joel have made to our team," says Managing Director Sylvain Filippi. "As we look ahead to GEN4 and an increasingly demanding Formula E calendar, we are entering an important period of development for the team."
