Extreme E race winner Kyle LeDuc passes away

As announced by Extreme E on Sunday, former driver Kyle LeDuc passed away on 11 November 2023. The American, who was born in 1981, had announced in June that he would not be racing this year. He had been diagnosed with status 4 head and neck cancer in November 2022.

LeDuc drove for Chip Ganassi Racing in the first two seasons of Extreme E, but skipped the 2022 season finale, officially due to a scheduling conflict. Together with Sara Price, he won the first round of the Island X Prix double header in 2022. In addition to his successes in Extreme E, LeDuc won a total of seven US championship titles in various off-road classes.

LeDuc is survived by his wife Amber and two children.
