Formula E in Berlin: the qualifying groups for Sunday at a glance
Tim Neuhaus
The second qualifying session of the 2025 Berlin E-Prix is coming up. After the duel phase was cancelled the day before due to wet conditions and it is also expected to rain for qualifying on Sunday, it remains to be seen whether we will see a complete session. Mitch Evans was unbeatable in the rain and took the first pole position of the race weekend. But Porsche in particular will have to score big again today to keep their title hopes alive in the drivers' world championship.
The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions start in Group A, the drivers in the even-numbered positions in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions of the group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, battling for pole position and the first three championship points of the race day.
