Formula E in Jakarta: The qualifying groups at a glance

Tim Neuhaus

After a one-year break, Formula E is back in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. The 2.37-kilometre circuit is a favourite venue for the DS Penske drivers in particular, as either Jean-Eric Vergne or Maximilian Günther have always been on pole position. We will find out whether they can continue this streak in qualifying at 5.20 am (CEST). They will take to the track in these groups!

The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions will start in Group A, while the drivers in the odd-numbered positions will start in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions in their group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final to fight for pole position and the first three championship points.
