Formula E in Jeddah: The qualifying groups for Friday at a glance
Tim Neuhaus
Formula E is organising rounds 3 and 4 of the eleventh season this weekend. As so often before, it travelled to Saudi Arabia, but not to the usual circuit in Diriyah, but to a new track. We are talking about the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which has been home to Formula 1 since 2021. The circuit has been shortened for the electric racing series and two chicanes have been added. The first of two qualifying sessions will start at 13:20 (CET) on Friday. It will start in these groups!
The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions will start in Group A, the drivers in the odd-numbered positions in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions in their group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final to fight for pole position and the first three championship points.
