Formula E in Jeddah: The qualifying groups for Race 1 at a glance

The first night race of the season is coming up! Saudi Arabia welcomes Formula E to Jeddah at the Red Sea! We will see a double-header and therefore two qualifying sessions. Last year, Taylor Barnard became the youngest ever pole setter here. This year will be exciting too!

The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions will start in Group A, while the drivers in the even-numbered positions will start in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions of the group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, battling for pole position and the first three championship points of the race day.
