Formula E in London: the qualifying groups for Saturday at a glance
Timo Pape
The Formula E season finale is just around the corner. Qualifying is of crucial importance, especially in the first London race on Saturday: the Pit Boost makes energy management even more irrelevant than it already is on the short circuit. Overtaking is likely to prove extremely difficult. That's why a good grid position can be decisive for the race. Here is an overview of the two qualifying groups.
The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions start in Group A, while the drivers in the odd-numbered positions start in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top 4 of the respective group, as these positions qualify the drivers for the duel phase. There, two drivers will compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final to fight for pole position and the first three championship points. The following groups have been formed for the qualifying on Saturday.
