Formula E in Monaco: The qualifying groups for Sunday at a glance
Tim Neuhaus
The second race of Formula E's "double header" in Monaco is coming up. On Saturday, we witnessed the second pole position of McLaren junior Taylor Barnard. The Briton beat Oliver Rowland, who collided with the wall in turn 1 with his Nissan on the decisive lap. An equally exciting qualifying session awaits us on Sunday, even with the chance of rain! The qualifying groups are once again relatively evenly matched.
The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions will start in Group A, while the drivers in the odd-numbered positions will start in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions in their group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final to fight for pole position and the first three championship points.
