Tim Neuhaus

On Saturday, qualifying was cancelled for the first time in Formula E history. No rain is expected on the second race day in Japan though, which means that we will see the group stages and the subsequent duels as usual. There are a noticeable number of team duels within the group stage, which could lead to exciting duels. The battle for pole position will be very important, because overtaking is difficult in Tokyo!

The drivers in the odd-numbered championship positions will start in Group A, the drivers in the odd-numbered positions in Group B. The aim here is to make it into the top four positions in their group, as this is the only way to reach the duel phase. Here, two drivers compete against each other in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final to fight for pole position and the first three championship points.
