Formula E: Jaguar signs Tom Dillmann & Joel Eriksson as reserve drivers

Jaguar is the only team to start the Gen3 era with the same regular drivers as in 2022 - namely Mitch Evans and Sam Bird. When it comes to replacement drivers, however, there are personnel changes at the Brits: Following the departure of Norman Nato and Sacha Fenestraz to Nissan, Tom Dillmann and Joel Eriksson will take on that role in 2023, the manufacturer announced at midday on Thursday.
Eriksson was already part of Formula E in the 2020/21 season, where he replaced Nico Müller as a regular driver for Dragon. After the season, he had to vacate his cockpit for Antonio Giovinazzi. Since then, he has mainly competed in GT racing - for example in the German ADAC GT Masters, the British GT Championship and the Dubai 24 Hours. Now he is returning to Jaguar as a replacement driver in Formula E.
On the contrary, Tom Dillmann has been a development and reserve driver at Jaguar since 2021 and will retain that role as the Gen3 era begins. Previously, he was a regular driver for Venturi and Nio. "After our team scored more points than ever last season and we developed the I-Type 6, I want to help the team fight for the championship again," the 33-year-old wrote on Instagram.
WELCOME, JOEL ⚫️⚪️
