Formula E: Mahindra Racing completes rollout with new Gen4 car

Mahindra Racing has carried out the first rollout of its new Gen4 car. The Indian team posted footage on Instagram of the functional test, during which the development car covered its first few metres under its own power. Mahindra did not initially provide any details regarding the location, the driver or the rest of the test programme.

The rollout was not yet a regular track test, but primarily a functional check of the newly built car and its systems.

The new generation of vehicles will be introduced from Season 13 onwards. The Indian manufacturer had officially confirmed its participation in the Gen4 era as late as November 2025, thereby announcing its development programme later than the other manufacturers. The rollout now marks the start of further preparations for the first race of the Gen4 era in December.
