Nissan will continue to rely on Sam Bird and Abbi Pulling as Formula E enters the Gen4 era. The Japanese team has confirmed that both drivers will remain with the squad for the 2026/27 season. Bird will continue as reserve and development driver, while Pulling retains her role as rookie and simulator driver.

"Sam brings a wealth of Formula E experience and has been a great team player since joining us last year," says Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal of Nissan Formula E Team. "He's proactive and always looking for ways to help the team improve. Abbi has become increasingly comfortable in the Formula E environment and is already adding real value. She'll have the opportunity to take part in test days and continue supporting us both before and during race weekends."

Together with race drivers Oliver Rowland and Zane Maloney, Bird and Pulling complete Nissan's driver line-up for the first Gen4 season. The Japanese manufacturer will continue to rely on both drivers to support the development and fine-tuning of its new Formula E car.
