After his first win of the season last week in Assen, Hector Garzo celebrated two more race victories at the Sachsenring - at the home race of his Dynavolt Intact team, where he achieved his first ever MotoE win last year. He thus takes over the overall lead from Mattia Casadei. Nicholas Spinelli is back on the podium after a series of crashes that followed his winning streak at the start of the season.

Oscar Gutierrez had the best start to Race 1, but shortly afterwards he turned in far too deep into Turn 1 and fell back again. This allowed Alessandro Zaccone to take the lead again. In turn 2, however, Eric Granado and Armando Pontone crashed dangerously, which is why the race was interrupted with a red flag. The restart took place after a few minutes, but the race distance was reduced to five instead of nine remaining laps. Gutierrez took the lead again after an early start and had to take two long lap penalties as a result. He was therefore eliminated from the race for victory. Garzo overtook the leader Zaccone on the start-finish straight of lap 2 and then held on to the lead. Spinelli battled for position with Torres and Ferrari on the remaining laps, but in the end it was enough for him to finish second behind Zaccone.

Race 2: Garzo and Spinelli dominate in the rain

The second race was also not completed over the full race distance - this time the race was reduced to eight laps due to rain. Once again, Gutierrez initially took the lead, but was caught by Garzo in the waterfall after a courageous manoeuvre. The latter was particularly fast in the rain at the Sachsenring, meaning that only Nicholas Spinelli was able to follow him. At times, the two were two seconds faster than the rest of the field. Spinelli had to let Garzo go with just over two laps to go, but second place was never in danger. Behind them, Torres also showed strong form in the rain and made up several places. In the final laps, he battled with Gutierrez for the last podium place, which the veteran ultimately secured. Lucas Tulovich finished tenth after 7th place in the morning.
