Hector Garzo and Alessandro Zaccone have won two thrilling MotoE races in Assen. For Garzo, it is his first victory since the 2023 German GP and for Zaccone his first ever win in the electric series. Not much has changed in the Wm standings, as Casadei and Zannoni both weakened.

There was drama at the start of the first race for world championship leader Mattia Casadei. He was on the inside of the first corner and was shot down from behind by Andrea Mantovani. Both crashed, but were not injured. Zannoni initially defended his lead at the front, but on lap 2 Zaccone moved into first place and tried to escape to the front.

On lap 6, Spinelli crashed, having briefly led the world championship after collecting just 13 points in the last four races. But Kevin Zannoni, who was second in the championship, also had to take a hit: Eric Granado crashed into his bike on the last lap, causing them both to fall as well. Hector Garzo managed to catch Zaccone on the last corner and snatched victory. Rookie Gutierrez finishes a strong third.

Race 2: Zaccone escapes to the front

Race 2 was a little more civilised. Alessandro Zaccone was again strong from the start and was already looking to escape to the front on lap 2. This time he was able to build up a lead of just under three seconds. Behind him, a battle for position developed between nine riders. Gutierrez made it clear in the final phase that he would not relinquish second place, while the two Dynavolt riders Garzo and Tulovic fought a thrilling battle for third place. The Spaniard had the better end, although the German's performance cannot be over-emphasised: He broke his wrist in a heavy crash a fortnight ago in Mugello and is currently riding with a screw in his hand and painkillers.
