Nissan has announced its driver lineup for the Formula E rookie test in Berlin. Accordingly, the reigning FIA Formula 3 champion Victor Martins and multiple GP2 race winner Luca Ghiotto will climb into the car for the Japanese. The rookie test of the electric series will take place on April 24 in Tempelhof.
Ghiotto, former runner-up in the GP3 series, was also confirmed as a simulator driver by Nissan in the course. The 28-year-old Italian has already been working in the team's simulator since the start of the current Formula E season and looks back on a number of career successes, including six victories in what is now the FIA Formula 2.
Frenchman Martins is part of the Alpine Academy - the BWT Alpine F1 Team's junior program - and has already claimed two podiums and a pole position in the first three races of his F2 debut season. The 21-year-old won the Formula Renault Eurocup title in 2020 before moving up to F3. There he clinched the championship in 2022.
