Norman Nato will no longer race for Nissan in Formula E next season. The Frenchman leaves the Japanese manufacturer after his second spell with the team and also suggests that he is stepping away from the all-electric championship for the time being. Nato scored 20 points in the 2025/26 season and finished 19th in the Drivers' Championship.

"I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone at Nissan Formula E Team," said Nato. The 34-year-old completed three seasons with Nissan in total: first in Season 9 and, after one year with Andretti, again in Seasons 11 and 12. His biggest achievements with the manufacturer included a podium in Rome and pole position at the Miami E-Prix. Nato made his Formula E debut with Venturi in 2021, also claiming his only victory in the championship so far at the season finale in Berlin.

The Frenchman will now focus on "another chapter" in his career. "I've really enjoyed my time in Formula E, both on the track and around the paddock, and I'm happy to have been part of this championship," Nato said. He has not ruled out a return in the future: "It's goodbye for now, but I hope to see everyone again soon."
