David Beckmann will drive the number 3 car from Kiro Race Co in Jarama. This became known with the announcement of the official entry list. The team has not yet communicated anything. It is therefore still unclear who will drive the team's second car alongside Dan Ticktum at the season opener in Sao Paulo (7 December).

Beckmann is making his Formula E comeback: Born in Iserlohn, he drove as a replacement for Andre Lotterer at Andretti in the 2023 Jakarta E-Prix, he was the eighth Formula E driver from Germany in total. However, Beckmann failed to impress in the two races of the double-header in Indonesia, so the team opted for Norman Nato at the end of the season when Lotterer ended his Formula E career. Beckmann remained a test and reserve driver for Porsche, but was no longer eligible for the rookie tests in Misano and Berlin due to his start in Jakarta.

The announcement of the second driver at Kiro Race Co is expected for the week after the tests. Time is pressing: After all, the season opener in Brazil takes place just four weeks after the Jarama tests.
