Race track camouflage: Jaguar tests with one-off livery in Valencia
Tim Neuhaus
While some teams have already presented their full-season livery for the eleventh edition of Formula E, Jaguar has chosen a different path. The British manufacturer will line up for the official pre-season test in Valencia with a one-off special livery, rather than the look for the entire 11th season. There is an interesting detail behind the line-rich livery.
The team title defender's special car was named the "Jaguar I-TYPE prototype". The colour scheme remains the same as last year, but the orderly layout is replaced by a chaotic interweaving of lines. Each line shows certain combinations of curves from Formula E racetracks. In total, all eleven different layouts on which Jaguar has been victorious to date are depicted.
Multiple race winner Mitch Evans feels a connection with the livery: "I really like the livery because I have won on nine of the eleven tracks depicted. I hope that I can add to this list next season." Last year's runner-up can lay the foundations for further victories at the pre-season test in Valencia from 4 to 7 November.
